UPDATE: Electricity (and water) service has been restored, and volunteers are working diligently to clear the driveway and parking area as best as we can. We will have worship (morning and evening) on the Lord’s Day, September 29th at 9:30 AM. The plan is to conduct a full service around a sermon on Psalm 29, The Thunderous Voice of God Our King, by Pastor Zachary Groff in the morning. Following the service, we would love for those in attendance to join us at the church/manse property for extended fellowship. In a somewhat abbreviated evening service (to be concluded in time for attendees to get home before dark), Dr. Joseph A. Pipa, Jr. will preach on Luke 13:1-6, Response to God’s Acts of Calamity.
Early on Friday morning, the church property lost power and running water (because the property is on a well with a pump powered with electricity). Three large old growth trees fell due to rain and wind in the front of the church property. Two of these three trees are obstructing the church parking lot and driveway. One of them has struck the church building and done some damage.

Thankfully, the church property is adequately insured, and Mission to North America’s Disaster Response Ministry’s Carolinas team, in partnership with Calvary Presbytery’s Word & Deed Team, is engaged to help Antioch clear the driveway and parking area of debris next week. A team of trained volunteers will begin work at 9:00 AM on Monday morning, September 30, 2024.
Update: With the restoration of electricity (and water) service, we will conduct worship at 9:30 AM and 5 PM on the 29th.
Please join us in prayer as we make all necessary arrangements to meet as we usually do as a congregation on October 6, 2024.
