Attendance numbers are rising at Old Antioch, and so are membership figures. What began with 11 people committed in the fall of 2020 has grown to 126 members six years later. Praise the Lord!
Along the way, we have made strategic investments in our facilities and surrounding property to improve safety, accessibility, and usefulness. This year, we are expanding the parking lot into the upper field in the southwest quadrant of our property (pictured below).
How much will it cost? While current prices are experiencing quite a bit of fluctuating, reliable estimates indicate that the new lot will cost around $50k (for a graded aggregate base lot) or $90k (for a modern paved, curbed, and striped lot). While we prefer a finished lot, we are waiting on the Lord for what He will provide through the generosity of His people here at Antioch and among the friends of Old Antioch.

This expansion will increase our parking capacity from 13 to 53 dedicated spaces, plus our existing grass parking along the rock wall. Not only will this improvement make our parking situation more visitor-friendly, but it will also make traffic in and out of the lot far safer, especially for our many children.
Antioch’s physical expansion is not limited to attendance figures, the membership roll, or even a parking lot. With about 9.5 acres of land and no debt, Antioch’s session is committed to stewarding our sacred trust for the glory of Christ and enlargement of His kingdom. In years to come, we intend to develop the eastern portion of our property with a modern church campus what can accommodate a larger, financially self-sustaining, and church-multiplying congregation. Recent and current projects are working incrementally to that point as the congregation grows and pushes our current facilities to their maximum potential.
